Ice experiment: Frozen Toy

Assalamua'laikum
Here's our ice experiment! Two things to consider when doing this ice experiment is do let them play it in the afternoon or mid-morning so the heat of the day will also help the ice melt and let them play in clothes proper for a dirty and wet n'wild activity. And more than the sensory salt & cloud dough play, I think it's better to sit along with them rather than let them play by themselves unless you have lined up all sorts of ways to help them melt the ice.

For me, though I feel that this activity is in fact very interesting but since I didn't prepare a list of items to make the ice melt, i.e spray bottle, spoon, salt, etc so it felt rather disorganized and demotivating (for me) to be scurrying all over the place looking for ways and things to melt the ice while trying to finish housechores.

But nonetheless I think the kids did rather enjoy the activity.

It's very....stimulating to experiment and to play with soft, gummy texture (play doh) then powdery soft texture (cloud doh) then brittle dry texture (sensory salt) and lastly solid and wet and coarse or smooth (depending on what happens to the ice block). Alhamdulillah :) We're yet to try experimenting with dirt and corn flour (oobleck). Next, insha Allah :)
