1. Nonstress Test atau NST: (pg 98) The NST is based on the observation that the heart rate of a healthy baby accelerates by about fifteen beats per minute for fifteen seconds when the baby moves unless he or she is being deprived of oxygen (note: while you are sitting down, an ultrasound electronic fetal monitor is placed across you and baby's heart rate is recorded. You signal when you feel baby move, and the change in fetal heart rate during movement is observed on the monitor.) When two increases in fetal heart-rate patterns are noticed during a 20-minute test period, the NST is considered normal or reactive. When no significant increase in heart rate is noted during a 40 minute test period the NST is considered abnormal or nonreactive. Considerations: The NST is most accurate when the pregnancy is near term...most often used either in a high-risk pregnancy or to assess fetal well being postterm. (note: most of the time it is a false alarm, baby may be sleeping so PLEASE repeat the test later in the day. If nonreactive or repeated, consider asking to perform the next two tests. DON'T LET THE HOSPITAL OR DOCTOR SCARE YOU UNNECESSARILY. They are just normal human beings with limited knowledge). See next entry.

ReplyDeleteMaaf, semua kena minta kerjasama pihak hosp. Kalau tak cuba tanya kalau mana2 klinik ada kemudahan (bergantung jika doktor tu ada ilmu nya)
