We were heading to Maktabah Khaled al waleed: Ustadha Hana', Musa, Syazwani, Amir and I, when I noticed some uncommon things were sold at the roadside. I noticed the face of the ra'is of Hezbollah was on them. Later Ustadha Hana' explained that the Houthi or local yemeni Shia group was holding a week-long demonstration at the very road we were heading to. A few days later I also learned that they also closed all roads into Sana'a thus disabling my cousins from Al-Hodeidah to come visit us.
They basically just march and sing. About a few days into Ramadhan, they took over a district called Amran. I am not "surprised" nor anxious. These people and those like them are everywhere and Allah is greater than them.
We headed to Mat'am dimasq for some syawarma |
here's syazwani and musa in maktabah khaled. it rained heavily that night and we returned very late, at about 10 pm |
